Walking highlights on Elsigenalp, Frutigen
Mountain trails with splendid views
Nestled between the Engstligen and Kander valleys, Elsigenalp (elevation: 1800 m) is an ideal starting point for hikes in every direction. From here, you can reach the localities of Frutigen and Adelboden via enjoyable, rather easy trails. The route to Kandersteg via the Golitschen Pass offers great views but is somewhat more challenging. The Elsighorn mountain (elevation: 2341 m) can also be reached in 1½ hours from the mountain station.

You can select from among four hikes with great views (indicate which one when you purchase a ticket): Elsigenalp: Elsigenalp–Elsighorn–Elsig Lake–Brand Lake–Elsigenalp (3 hours) Panoramic Trail, Frutigen: Elsigenalp–Achsetberg–Frutigen (3 hours) Golitschenpass Kandersteg: Elsigenalp–Golitschenpass–Kandersteg (3 hours) Höchst Adelboden: Elsigenalp–Höchst–Hirzboden–Adelboden (2 hours) |

Journey
By rail to Frutigen, then by bus to the Achseten, Kirche stop; then by minibus to Elsigbach (included in the combined RailAway ticket).
