Summer excursions
Heiligenlandhubel: a view of hills and Alps
A magnificent hill trail
A short, steep climb will lead you to the Lueg monument on the Heiligenlandhubel. The monument was erected in memory of the soldiers who died on border duty during the First World War. From this vantage point, you will be able to enjoy an unforgettable view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains, which are surrounded by the Alpine foothills and the Emmental hills. The trail will take you through woods and past fields, first to Junkholz and finally to Affoltern i.E., where you will be able to solve the mystery of how Emmental cheese gets its holes.
