Wheel-set machining
The reprofiling of dismantled wheel sets, bogies and even entire trains is a speciality of the BLS Workshops. Our underfloor wheel-set lathes enable us to mechanically machine all the running surfaces and wheel flanges of standard gauge rolling stock. On request, we also fit wheels with tyres, turn axles and recondition wheel bearings.
